Despite the cold Kansas winds, Bradbury hosted its annual golf tournament to help support the local foodbanks. It was a great opportunity to get employees, vendors, and customers together to support a great cause.
The 27th of October brought high winds and cold weather, but that did not stop the 70 individuals that stuck it out and played 18 holes. Along with the individuals we had helping out to ensure the tournament went smoothly. This event is an opportunity to bring others together while also raising money. This year, Bradbury donated money to the Hesston, Mcpherson, Moundridge, Marion County, and Reno County food banks. It is a great way to raise money for these organizations while having a fantastic time.
The 2023 tournament took place at the Hesston Golf Course. This year we had 20 teams that were assembled based off of each golfer's handicap. With a few helpful rule changes, we had some great scores. Our winning team was Gavin Lopata, Nick Churchill, and Bill Brant with a score of -18. Congratulations to the winning team.
Each golfer donated at the door, and we had many sponsors that gave a tremendous amount to these organizations. Thank you to our title sponsors Ryerson, AGH, IMA, NestEgg U, Reflection Travel, Precision Industries Incorporated, Delta Electric Supply, IBT Industrial Solutions, Fastenal, Rensenhouse, Hyspeco, and Commerce Bank for being sponsors and donating $500. We also had many other sponsors donate $200, thank you to everyone that donated. At holes 8 and 18 there was a chance for each team to donate $20 and allowed them to move up closer to the green. It was another great way to raise more money while improving each of our golf games.
Thank you again to our sponsors and everyone who donated this year. We were very excited to donate that money to our local food banks. Thank you as well to each individual who helped out this year and to the Hesston Golf Course for allowing this event to take place.
