Bradbury Values the Contributions of Women in Manufacturing

Bradbury takes pride in treating each employee as a family member, and we are especially delighted to have a strong representation of talented women throughout our facility every day. Their exceptional skills and unwavering work ethic are instrumental in moving our business in the right direction.

Recently, we had the privilege of visiting with two remarkable women, Sheena Simpson and Birkley Schwartz, to gain an insider's perspective on their current manufacturing roles at Bradbury. These conversations focus on the integral contributions they make to our operations and the invaluable insights they bring to the table.

Bradbury Group machinistSheena, an experienced employee with years of experience in the industry, is a vital member of our manufacturing team. Her attention to detail and expertise in machining ensures that every product that leaves our facility meets the highest standards. With her eye for precision, Sheena has played a pivotal role in machining parts each day and providing excellence to our customers. Before starting at Bradbury Sheena had very little experience in machining but has since then learned a lot and is now a key part in our plant 1 facility. Over the years at Bradbury Sheena has seen tremendous growth for women in manufacturing and would love to see that continue on. When asked about her favorite aspect of working at Bradbury, Sheena's immediate response was the incredible people she gets to work alongside each day.

Bradbury Group assembly employeeBirkley began her career at Bradbury just over a year ago. Similar to Sheena, Birkley is a very fast learner and has been a great addition to our team. Before joining Bradbury, Birkley had a small amount of experience in the manufacturing business. But as a passionate advocate for pushing the boundaries of what is possible, Birkley has gained experience with loading trucks and how to correctly distribute the weight. Since joining Bradbury, Birkley has witnessed the potential for women to thrive in manufacturing careers, even in the short period of time she has been here.

Both Sheena and Birkley exemplify the qualities that define the Bradbury workforce. These two remarkable women are just a glimpse of the incredible talent we have at Bradbury. We remain committed to promoting a work environment that nurtures talent, encourages growth, and celebrates the unique perspectives that each individual brings to the table.

As we move forward, we are excited to witness the continued success and positive impact that the women of Bradbury will undoubtedly have on our business. Their skills, dedication, and unwavering determination serve as a testament to the limitless potential that lies within our workforce. Bradbury has been a respected leader in the metal manufacturing industry since 1959. Our machines produce top-quality products, giving our customers a competitive edge.
