Bradbury Celebrates Manufacturing Month

We had a wonderful turnout for our celebration of MFG Day on Oct. 14. We opened up our doors for student tours to share opportunities for rewarding careers in manufacturing and highlight the advanced technology we utilize everyday. Students received a full facilities tour along with a chance to compete in hands-on skills challenges and explore our career center booths. This was our biggest year yet! We had over 300 students tour from 13 local schools. We were also happy to invite our technical school partners, Hutchinson Community College and Flint Hills Technical College.

Bradbury employees led tours and explained our manufacturing progression from concept to engineering design, fabrication, assembly, and testing. Students viewed our fabrication shop, which houses approximately 60 CNC machines, where we fabricate the major components required for the construction of Bradbury equipment. Our Doosan lathe, which holds parts from 200” long to 30” in diameter, our induction heat treat center, our robotic welding cell, and our high-definition plasma torch were all highlights. Tour groups walked through our assembly area to observe the assembly of Bradbury custom-made machines and watched several roll forming lines running formed products.

At Bradbury, we design and manufacture the production equipment our customers use to produce products for many different industries including steel framing, coil processing, metal building, automotive, grain bin, garage door, insulated panel, and many more.

The companies within The Bradbury Group provide Roll Forming, Coil Processing, Leveling, Automated Production Systems, Insulated Panel Equipment, Metal Tile Roofing Systems, and Controls for entry level operations to full scale facilities. Our machines and systems are known for their reliability, high productivity, and scrap reduction.
